Active Ministry:

Women and Families at the Cathedral Center

We may initially participate in ministry because we know that our time and our talents can make a difference in the lives of those facing poverty, pain, or injustice. Quite often, God surprises us: the most profound gifts of active ministry occur in the gifts WE are given by those we serve.

In Milwaukee, more than twenty shelters and food programs provide needed supports to many hundreds of men, women and children who do not have a place to live. The Cathedral Center, located near St. John's Cathedral in Milwaukee, offers hope to women and their children each night. <MORE>

Joining with thousands of Salvatorians around the world, the Sisters of the Divine Savior are actively involved in responding to the issue of human trafficking. It's a complex global issue...with local impact.

Visit the anti-trafficking website for a deeper understanding of the issues of trafficking, sex slavery and bonded labor that frame the lives of millions of children, women and men in our country and around our world.

Sign up for a free newsletter, Stop Trafficking. The newsletter is one way that Salvatorians are collaborating with other groups to respond.

Renewal

of

Vows:

A Celebration

of Life

Salvatorian Sisters renew their vows several times before they make their perpetual vows. Typically, our "temporary vows" are for two to three years, and are renewed two or three times.

Of course, temporary vows are every bit as "real" as perpetual vows. Recently, Sister Nelda Hernandez celebrated her life as a Salvatorian and her response to God's loving call by renewing her vows at a simple ceremony held at the Sisters of the Divine Savior Community House Queen of Apostles chapel.

Meet Sister Nelda. Or, learn more about the SDS Formation Process.

Sister Letty

Celebrates Perpetual Vows

After completing an initial formation process, Sister Leticia Regala, SDS, made perpetual vows at the Sisters’ Province Community House, 4311 North 100th St., Milwaukee. Read S. Letty's story.
