Jubilee:

Celebrating God's

Loving Kindness!

For Salvatorians, celebrating one's anniversary of becoming a Sister of the Divine Savior, is a "family affair."

Each year, we celebrate the lives of those who have completed 40, 50, 60, and 75 years as a vowed member and, in a special Mass of Thanksgiving, we give thanks not only for the Sisters' commitment to mission and ministry, but also for God's commitment to us!

Jubilee is sort of like an "anniversary," but so much more! Read a recent article, which tells about the many ministries in which our Sister Jubilarians are continuing to serve, even those with many, many years in community!

Sisters Still Responding to Tsunami Needs in Sri Lanka

The Sisters of the Divine Savior are an international community, with a common mission and strong bonds that cross national, tribal, and cultural boundaries. With more than 90 Sisters in Sri Lanka, India, and Malaysia, almost all with family ties in the area, the devastating tsunami touches Salvatorian lives in profound ways. And, as you will read in Sister Beatrice's reflections and letter, the Sisters, even in grief, choose to live God's saving love among the people.

Read a letter from Sister Beatrice Fernando, SDS, the Provincial Leader of the Sisters of the Divine Savior in our Sri Lankan community. It was written to the international SDS community on December 29, 2004, as the terrible tragedy unfolded. Read the most recent updates, and see the pictures the sisters have sent to us from Sri Lanka explaining the impact these gifts are making.

Read a letter from Sister Grace Mary Cherian, SDS describing the Indian Sisters work in Tamil Nadu, India.

The crisis continues and rebuilding will take months and years. Please, continue to help us.

Continue to reach out to support our Sisters as they work directly with survivors through a special donation to the Sisters of the Divine Savior Tsunami Relief effort. Your gifts go directly to meet housing, health care, and rebuilding needs.

Come and See in 2005!

The Sisters of the Divine Savior are planning several "Come and See" experiences for 2005. These weekends offer participants a chance to experience community living, prayer and leisure activities, share our lives, ministries and spiritual journeys, and dialogue with women who have recently entered community and with other women considering religious life.

The weekends are designed for single Catholic women, 18-45 years of age who are considering religious life as a vocational choice. Room and board are provided. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from Milwaukee.
Email your contact information to us and we'll send you registration materials as soon as they are ready!
