Sister
Nelda, presently employed at St. Gregory Parish
in Milwaukee is ministerial secretary supporting
those in adult faith formation, liturgy, music
and parish business. Sister Nelda’s
studies in music, English, counseling and
computer applications provide her with a wide
background for parish work. Noted for her
considerable expertise in computer programs
from spread sheets to brochures and communicative
work, she enjoys creative work as well as
data analysis. Sister enjoys being a member
of her parish choir as well as singing in
the choir for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee
which provides liturgical music for Archdiocesan
events.
Sister
Nelda lives in a local community of five
called “Providence House” at Mary, Queen of
Martyrs Parish. Sister Nelda is grateful for
the sharing with members of her local
Community. Sister Maureen Hopkins is retired
from provincial administration, and diocesan
ecumenical work and stays active as a volunteer
at St. Anne’s home, as well as facilitating
discussion groups. Sister Elaine Czarnezki
has had a varied career as teacher, administrator
of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School,
and founder of the mission high school in
southern Tanzania, as well as having been
a hospital chaplain. Most recently Sister
Elaine ministered among the poor in Mississippi.
Presently Sister Elaine is our social justice
action coordinator. Sister Patrice Colletti
has been involved in advocacy for people with
disabilities and is presently a full-time
student, as well as serving as an advocacy
consultant. Sister
Elizabeth Seglau recently celebrated her
perpetual vows and is a social worker.

Sister
Nelda Hernandez, SDS, is originally from Laramie,
Wyoming. Sister Nelda is a widowed “Sister
Mom,” and the proud mother of A.J. Hernandez,
who writes the daily briefings for MyTrafficNews™.com
in Denver, Colorado.
