Sister Carol Thresher, SDS - Provincial Vicaress

Sister Carol joins the Provincial Leadership Team from a broad background of experiences - educational, international, spiritual, and with a deep sensitivity to issues of social justice.  Most recently Carol was ministering in the Diocese of Tucson with the Jordan Ministry Team  helping parishes with Faith Formation. Sister Carol notes that her years of experience in Brazil (see picture below) as well as an M.A. from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago have particularly prepared her for her earlier ministry, and will continue to enhance her contributions to the Salvatorian Family around the world especially in areas of on-going formation work and retreats.

Sister Carol graduated in education from Marquette University, and completed an M.A. in history from the University of Notre Dame. S. Carol taught in grade school, Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, and helped found the Justice and Peace Center in Milwaukee before going to Brazil.  Her international experiences in cultural diversity as well as the unity of the Salvatorian charism around the world gifts her with unusual understanding for collaborative work leading to a more just society - showing the goodness and kindness of Jesus, Our Savior.
