The Sisters of the Divine
Savior have created a
simple, step-by-step,
no-obligation process
designed to help you in your
journey of discovering where
God is leading you.
You can actually do the
steps in any order you wish
-
but most women appreciate
the chance to “ease into”
the process and start
with Step 1.
Obviously, if you are 18 or
20, you’re living a
different reality than if
you’re 35 or 40… or even
older. That’s why, after the
first few steps, we would
like very much to work with
you a bit to “customize” a
process or program so we can
specifically fit your unique
circumstances. Don’t
worry -
we don’t ask you to “sign on
the dotted line!” We want
you to find answers to your
questions, and discover what
works for you.
 |
Step
1: Explore
|
Come explore this website
and all the various links
we’ve provided. Why not
bookmark this site, or add
it to your favorites, and
come back often, since we
tend to change it and add to
it a lot.
We also invite you to come “visit” our
international websites, and
the websites of our
Salvatorian Priest and
Brothers, as well as our Lay
Salvatorians, if you’d like
to learn more about the
“Salvatorian Family.”
Click here for links to learn more
about the Salvatorians.
 |
Step 2: Let us pray with you
|
Prayer goes a long way
toward helping us figure out
what God’s asking of us.
You
can submit your name (first
name only, if you wish) and
we will simply ask all the
Salvatorian Sisters in the
US Province to keep you, and
your journey, in their
prayers. They will pray for
you daily, from all over the
USA.
Email us if you would
like to ask for prayers.
 |
Step 3: Share a bit of
yourself
|
You can share a bit about
yourself. Introduce yourself
via
email. Or, if you have a MySpace,
Facebook, blog, Flickr, wiki, or personal web
site, you can also share
your link with us. In
return, we’ll pair you up,
on an informal,
no-obligation basis, with a
Salvatorian Sister with whom
you can chat (AIM, MSNChat,
YahooChat) or email, asking
questions, sharing stories
and photos, or whatever.
Hey, some of us even have
our own websites!
 |
Step 4: Connections
|
Even if you’re not sure
you’re “ready” for anything
official, you can connect
informally with a member of
our New Membership Team.
Again - no obligation.
This is a safe and easy way
to start making sense of
things and to get some
no-strings-attached
personal, one-on-one
information. You don’t have
to wrestle with your
questions alone. We are
trained to partner with you
as you continue to explore
and learn! Look at the
bottom of this page for
contact information.
 |
Step 5: Consider
|
Consider checking us out in
person. We know it’s hard to
examine something this
complex using only a website
or a phone call. So, we want
to make it as easy as
possible for you to meet us
and talk with us in person.
You may want to meet for
lunch somewhere. Or, if you
don’t live in Milwaukee,
maybe you want to set up a
video conference meeting
using your computer. You can
join us in a local community
for Evening Prayer, come to
one of our frequent picnics
or parties, or even just
come to supper. This is a
no-pressure visit . . .
though if
you have questions, we’re
happy to help with answers.
You may also want to
consider one of our special
overnights or weekends.
 |
Step 6: Find Out
|
Would it be helpful to know what happens when and if a woman
decides to officially “look
at” becoming a Sister of the
Divine Savior?
The technical term for “okay
now I am getting pretty
serious about this whole
thing but I still don’t
really know if it’s for me”
is “discernment.”
The Sisters of the Divine Savior have a special process
specifically designed to
help with discernment.
Click
here
to see what that process
looks like, how long it
takes to “become a Sister,”
and what you could expect.
